The Sidney Cowboy Church (SCC) is a non-denominational Christian Church with no higher organizational authority than God. The Congregation, a true Church family, operates as a democracy and is the voting authority for all Church issues.

Our regular Sunday Worship is at 9 a.m. We meet in the Community Room, behind First Express Insurance, on the West side of Sidney’s historic Courthouse Square.

Coffee, hot water, several flavors of tea, juice, hot chocolate, iced water, regular and sugar-free cookies are available, with no charge and the Worship Service is informal, so if ya need ta refill yer coffee cup ‘er git another cookie, jis’ git up and git it (unless we’re in the middle of a prayer, that is). Jeans, shorts, bib overalls are appropriate dress and the preacher is, probably, wearin’ Wranglers, with his boots. We do not pass a collection plate. The preacher’s cowboy hat is on the table containing the song sheets and Order of Worship sheets. If you want to put in some cash, or a check, it is welcomed. No one will keep track. Regular Sidney Cowboy Church contributors provide the Pastor with the amount they donated, each December, and a receipt is provided, for tax purposes.

The Sidney Cowboy Church welcomes everyone, regardless of current, or former religious affiliations, color of skin, age, marital status and/or lifestyle choices. An open mind is very useful and each sermon is followed by a “questions or comments” segment.

Our Worship Service doesn’t last more than one hour. Socialization occurs before and after the Worship Service, each Sunday.
From time-to-time, SCC will sponsor a visiting country gospel group, host a Fremont County Chamber of Commerce Supper Meeting or become involved in some other community service
activity. Participation is voluntary.
